Another group photo is in the Chronicle of Club of the Mining Museum in Ostrava. Members of the club were posing before the traditional annual membership meeting in the miners' costumes, as befits the miners, on Tuesday 6 December, held on the occasion of the feast of St. Barbara. Meeting in the compressor hall of Anselm mine in Landek park in Ostrava-Petřkovice was attended by 100 members. After the initial photographing and introducing the new club flag they evaluate their activity in this year, which was again rich and beneficial not only for miners' guild, but also for the entire region.
What has been achieved? In Ostrava, in the club offices in Petřvald, Havířov and Karviná in addition to holiday dates are regular monthly meetings devoted to mining and other topics. Representatives of the club participated in pan-European meeting of mining and metallurgical associations in Dutch Heerlen and 15 nationwide meeting of mining towns and villages in the West Bohemian town - Chodov. Members of Havířov office contributed to a dignified reminder of 50th
anniversary of the largest mining tragedy in the former Dukla Mine, Petřvald office has organized traditional celebrations of the Miners Day, Karviná office took tours for attractions in the mining world. The club continued publishing thematic issues related to mining industries.
"We have successfully managed to implement a revitalization project of the educational route in Landek with the value of around 5 million crowns represents the largest project ever done in the history of the club. I would like to invite all interested people to come to look at Landek. They find there a new resting benches and garbage bins, numerous information boards and nice routes for pleasant walks or rides a bike," Rodan Broskevič, Club Chairman has informed. At the same time he thanked to the companies Vítkovice and OKD, OKD Foundation and the Landek Ostrava Foundation, but also, for example to Forests of the Czech Republic and to other partners, whose support has helped the club to carry out an ambitious agenda.
Participants of the meeting got acquainted with a new book from Miroslav Vlček "Lightning of the stars" with subtitle Scenes from Jaroslav Miska life, dedicated to one of the legends of mining in the Ostrava-Karvina coal mining district. End of the meeting was in a friendly atmosphere with beer and Miner´s goulash.
OKD, a.s., has been currently exposed to fraudulent activity by unknown individuals in Germany.

The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
