OSTRAVA – On Tuesday, 8 March 2011, the new hall of the VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava in Ostrava Poruba will become the venue of the fourth year of “Kariéra plus“ job fair. At the largest career fair in Moravia-Silesia region the companies shall present their business activities and offer jobs to higher education institutions' undergraduates and graduates. The organisers expect that more than 100 companies will participate in the event. OKD will take part in this event for the third time already.
Representatives of the mining company's Shared Services Centre – Human Resources shall present to those interested not only the state of the art technologies, but also the scholarship programme and above standard benefits offered by OKD to its employees. “The success of the last year event was a source of inspiration for us and we have decided to come up with something brand new and to make our presentation even more attractive. The top priority for us is to present OKD as a modern company exploiting the latest technologies. How else to do it, but by means of high tech. We have put up a touch screen which will allow visitors to walk through the mine,“ described their plans Radomír Štix from the Shared Services Centre – Human Resources.
In addition to interactive video programmes, there will be a presentation of OKD given in the new assembly hall. Also available will be company profiles and other materials presenting the company to potential future employees. “Kariéra plus“ job fair will be held at VŠB-TU from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and it will be open not only for university students and graduates, but also for other job seekers and the general public.
