The OKD mining company defended its last year’s and the year before last year’s victory over the one hundred most admired companies in the Czech Republic. The first place in the category of “Mining and quarrying“ was awarded to it by a panel of executives of major companies, financial analysts, representatives of trade unions and professional associations, and other economic experts. Severočeské doly and Sokolovská uhelná ended only behind OKD.
The rating is established in accordance with the criteria set in 1999. These include, for example, the long-term value of the firm, the product quality, the ability to attract and retain talented employees, the environmental responsibility, the relationship to society and the support for socially beneficial activities, and many others.
As it was emphasized by Jan Struž, President of the CZECH TOP 100 Association, OKD is one of the companies that play with the most reliable cards: quality, technical invention, progressive marketing and, last but not least, fairness and responsibility towards their employees, business partners and customers. Since it was launched in 1999, the rating, awarded annually by the CZECH TOP 100 Association, won reputation and broad attention. The Association also aims to raise awareness of the Czech business environment, promote good relations between managers and provide information to the public through the media.
“The victory that OKD achieved for the third time in a row is our great success. It is a signal that our company goes in the right direction,” said Petra Mašínová, Director of PR and Communication of OKD.
