OSTRAVA – Iron, iron and again iron - this is probably the most frequently used material in our hard coal underground mines. We meet with iron at every turn on the surface premises and underground. Shaft head frames, ropes, rails, locomotives, piping, supports, cutter loaders, conveyors, structures ... It is therefore quite logical that it is necessary to rationally manage such a precious, renewable material, including any discarded idle iron material designed for scrapping.... more
OSTRAVA – From a long-term perspective, OKD has been ensuring qualified labour force for its future needs. In the past, we were educating young people at secondary schools and apprentice centres. We have recently revived the apprenticeship, which will however bring the first fruit only in a few years. Therefore, we also need to work with unqualified labour force.... more

The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
