History

Mine 3 with sites Staříč and Chlebovice came into existence by renaming the Paskov Mine as of 1 January 2015. The former Paskov Mine was established by merging Paskov and Staříč Sites. Both mines are relatively young; they were formed during the period of industrialization of the communist Czechoslovakia. The buildings at Paskov were built in 1960 and at Staříč in 1962. In both cases, the mines were classified under high water and gas risk. Coal production started at Paskov in 1966; for Staříč, it only started in 1971.

On 1 January 1994, the formerly separate mines Paskov and Staříč were merged into one group mine (branch) named Paskov. In 1999, it was decided that activities of the Paskov Site are to be terminated and the site was transferred to Odra Mine.

The production of hard coal at Staříč and Chlebovice sites was definitely terminated by 31 March 2017.
