He swapped colliery for a nutrition clinic
Pavel Štěrba is engaged in business together with his wife and wishes to broaden the team of by women leaving OKD.
Only sixteen days has passed since the moment when Pavel Štěrba from Dolní Lutyně finished working as the Head of mining electricians at ČSA site. Already as a co-runner of nutrition consulting Natur House was arranging to meet another former lady-colleague from the mining company to whom he managed to offer a new job!
„Of course, the outcome of our meeting is confidential, nevertheless the truth is that myself and my wife Pavlína are running shops in Havířov, Nový Jičín and newly in Třinec, while we plan to expand our team from existing five to nine people,” Štěrba said and added that New shift program and its pillar Promoting Enterprise seemed to him to be very beneficial.
„In simple terms, services of Natur House chain rest in consultancy. In short, people cannot eat. Just look what majority eats for breakfast – coffee and three cigarettes…” Štěrba commented and said that apart from the supply of natural nutrition supplements, they also provide services of dietitians. And he creates jobs for them and their assistants.
The branch in High Street Havířov employs like than Nataša Torbiková, a daughter of Vítězslav Rosmarin, a former LW Chief Foreman from František colliery. A shop in Nový Jičín is located directly on the square; the one in Třinec is by the bus station. A former mining electrician thus expands the original business of his wife.
„We have helped starting-up metabolism and loose weigh also to some our lady-colleagues from the mine. Right now we are able to give an imaginary hand to people departing from OKD. In view of the fact that up to 95% of our clientele consists of women, in particular, we look for ladies,” Štěrba, a qualified electrician with graduation certificate (like his dad at CSL Pioneer, Red October and 1st May mines).
„In mining you cannot rely solely on yourself and it is the same in my present occupation. I must create a team that I can rely on and pursue my goals,“ he said. Thereby since last summer, he was deciding on terminating his 26-year tie with OKD. „Who is not afraid of work and can do something, will always find a job,” he asserts.
Štěrba was working as an electrician at 1st May - Barbora, Doubrava and Armáda. Anything from pulling cables, through electrical positions for LW and developments up to the post of the Head of mining electricians with 135 subordinates. “ „Within the New Shift project, I got calls from Vítkovice or INCO that I could join their electricians. One still has chances,” he ended.
