STONAVA – During the last days the pilot project Continuous Improvement in material conveyance was set in motion in the mine ČSM. It is focused on collection and implementation of simple improvements, based on ideas of all ČSM employees. The first results can be seen after a few days! The first Cards with proposals for improvement have been put into the boxes installed by the porter’s lodges of both plants of the Mine ČSM.
„The submitted proposals for improvement are being assessed just now. We must determine at first, whether or not they are feasible and what will be their contribution for the Mine ČSM. Authors of the chosen ideas will at first receive the immediate remuneration of CZK 1,000, and after successful realization they will receive the additional sum, the level of which will depend on the real contribution of the improvement,” says Petr Skyva, manager of the Continuous Improvement project in the Mine ČSM. Based on the real contribution, even the employees who will realize the chosen ideas will be remunerated.
Everything will be assessed by the Managing Director
All remunerations are subject to approval by the Managing Director of the Mine ČSM, Josef Kasper. He will also decide remuneration in the cases, where the ideas will not lead to measurable results, but for instance will increase safety or improve working conditions and environment.
Three main indicators
The system of evaluation, assessment and publication of the chosen indicators in the sector of material conveyance has been prepared so that the affected employees in the Mine ČSM may keep an eye on how the realized ideas for improvement are reflected in practice and what results are brought by their work. The basic three chosen monitored indicators are as follows: number of units released and pulled out of the mine shaft, number of units moved in the transloading points and fuel oil consumption.
The mine management is convinced that the employees will go on submitting their ideas. They are reminded by a fitting motto: To become involved is rewarding and worth the trouble!
