Fabulous entry in the new year

Another limit in the stoping team of the chief foreman Martin Brada from CSA mine

CSA MINE.  The stoping team of Martin Brady and the chief of the section Jan Feber are experiencing a fabulous introduction to the new year. After the limit performance from the beginning of the year, when on 21^st January (after 31 operation days) the guys announced: „Accomplished at 105%!“, they did even better on 29th February: “We exceeded the limit twice in a row!"

And even the conditions were much harder. At the end of coal-face the mucking reinstallation was carried out practically permanently. Such situation requires more work and usually delays production. “This was the time for the hard job of the mechanics.  Without their extraordinary effort, experience and dedication we would not make it,” Brada praises his colleagues and he mentions the maintenance foreman Marián Pastirčák and section mechanic Roman Piechaczek. He also positively values the work of shift foreman, chief of operations, operations mechanic. He seems to like to mention all the 140 team members. “Do not be surprised, it is mainly about the people” he emphasizes. “Without an extraordinary effort of each individual, without professionalism, mutual understanding and assistance it would hardly be possible. I greatly value the fact that even in tense situations the guys did not come to dramatic conflicts. They were all pulling one end of the rope.”

It seems that this year’s limit inspired Martin Brada´s stoping team members further.  Even now they are thinking of making another, already third extraordinary performance. They intend to achieve it in the new working in the eleventh block. They want to “fly in” as soon as possible and get the 650 longwall meters by October. Approximately 30 meters below this working in 24^th seam new technology will be installed within the POP 2010 program. No delay can therefore be tolerated.

The second limit celebration is not thought of now. “We will wait for the grass to dry on the football field. We will first play football and then celebrate the reward for the limit”, Martin Brada laughs at the idea of celebration. He immediately reminds that at that time the reward will not be complete. The guys decided to put apart 10 000 crowns for the orphans of miners from St. Barbara´s Association. Thanks for it!
