Better conditions in the coal face, an experienced and motivated crew, and excellent machinery from the POP 2010. According to Alpex PBG Production Operation Manager, Jan Nowakovský, this is the base for success, which production crew of the supplying company with Marian Olszewský as a field manager and Stefan Gulak as a forman could be proud of.
In August and September, the Polish "brigade" met two limit performances in a row, with extraordinary characteristics. In August, mined 95,646 tons of coal in the monthly progress of 180.3 m and in September it was 109,042 tons in the progress of 190 meters!
"This is obviously the result of excelent work of people, but also the new technology played an important role in this case," said Nowakowski. Gulak crew is working with the mining complex, whose core is consist from a mechanized reinforcement DBT 13/31 and Eickhoff SL 300, and for it has only words of praise.
"Although it was its third deployment, it is still almost flawless. The operator needs only a handful of people, yet very powerful. There was no rupture of the roof for the whole period of time, shields cover everything," says Nowakowski. Forman Gulak has the same opinion. "The system is full of electronics, but the German one really works, and operation is also not complicated," adds with the fact that this technology is also advantageous for people. "Simply, easier work," he explains.
"In addition to good machines for success it is also necessary good cooperation between each shifts and members of the team. When that works, the results will come. And we have a good experience with the financial motivation of people. When the reward is in the game, it´s seen bigger engagement of people," Gulak comments the performance in August and September. Another chapter is interoperability with other mining sections. “Everybody met our needs and also took a part for our success. The motto of Karviná coalmine is Teamwork wins – also this time it was the victory of teamwork,” emphasized Nowakowski.
