Preparators understand state-of-the-art technologies and continuous improvement
STAŘÍČ – Hi, did it work out fine? Every morning, Jiří Hantschel, Chief Preparation Foreman from Mine Field P 2, headed by Otmar Smolan, arrives at the meeting with this question, regarding the production process over the last twenty-four hours. His working party, consisting of 24 guys now, ranks among the pioneers of state-of-the-art technologies and new improvement suggestions in the Paskov Mine. And how do Hantschel’s miners really work at the coalfaces?
“Our party has been working in this mine field for four years, and I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of our failures to fulfil the technical regime. We are a cemented party, and Shift Foremen Jiří Klásek, Jiří Piskoř, Tomáš Wilkus and Martin Kopřiva are our pillars,” said Smolan. For that matter, Hantschel and his party, concurrently with Ivan Grossinger’s shaft men, received as the first ones the technological equipment under the POP 2010 Programme – Drilling Machine BTRL 1 and Loader DH 250.

Company code of ethics
The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
