STONAVA – First of all, proper mining skills and then also, noble-mindedness were demonstrated by the Rostislav Špalek’s mining party from the northern mining plant of ČSM Mine. DARKOV –  The expected has become a reality. The new OKD's record in the annual output by a single team is 1 million 169 thousand 230 tons of coal! For the year 2009, it was established by the Pol-Alpex 2 stoping team from a contractor firm bearing the same name.... more

STONAVA – On Monday, 12 October, the pilot project Continuous Improvement was set in full motion in the Mine ČSM, coalface 320 312, with the objective to reduce maintenance in the morning shift. This coalface is for the time being one of two coalfaces in the Mine ČSM equipped by the technology POP 2010 with the mining complex Bucyrus and is of key importance for fulfilment of the mining schedule of the whole mine. STONAVA – During the last days the pilot project Continuous Improvement in material conveyance was set in motion in the mine ČSM. It is focused on collection and implementation of simple improvements, based on ideas of all ČSM employees. The first results can be seen after a few days! STAŘÍČ – The obsolete double aggregate in the main pumping station of Paskov Mine IV (Staříč Mining Plant) has been replaced by the new type 150-CDB-400. The mine water pumping to the surface will thereby shorten by approximately one third. OSTRAVA – The first and only permitted transportation of persons a conveyor belt along with excavated material in the Czech Republic reached an academic level and entered the literature on mining. Libor Grebeň, main engineer at the Paskov Mine, described it as a new trend at a conference co-organised by the Czech Mining Authority at the VSB-Technical University in Ostrava. LAZY – In the Lazy Mining Plant of Karviná Mine, the new mining machine set, purchased within the POP 2010 Project, has proven satisfactory. It has replaced an obsolete plough and individual support props. The mining machine set significantly facilitates everyday miner’s work and improves working conditions.... more
