STONAVA – The Czech premiere of the central air conditioning system with cooling from above (from the surface) was inspected in the CSM Mine by the Director of the Ostrava Regional Health Authority (KHS). This Authority is obliged to inspect working conditions in the mine as the integral part of the state health supervision! When coming up, Ms. Helena Šebáková did not conceal her satisfaction.... more

LAZY – The February plan of the development crew with 27 members managed by Libor Popp, Chief Foreman, and Roman Pastucha, Head of Development Works 2, at Lazy Site, Karviná Mine was quite easy. They should connect the return-air gateroad # 74029 in Block 7, Doubrava field to the cross-entry # 74060. In total, it was 203m of development works with a SM 130 roadheader in the cross-section TH 16/18. Let’s not take too much of your time and say straight away they were successful.... more
OSTRAVA – Last year’s deliveries of the state-of-the-art mining equipment under the POP 2010 Project (Productivity Optimization Program) are successfully done. The Horník Magazine provided a regular update on the difficulties encountered during the transportation of shields, shearers, roadheaders and other parts underground as well as on the excellent results of the crews when installing and commissioning the equipment. STONAVA – A few days ago, the northern shaft of the ČSM Mine put into operation a new hutch water pumping station. Previously, hutch water had been drained by eight pumps installed in the 1970s, the condition of which was very adversely affected by the aggressive mine environment and salt-laden water.
