The new drifting machine employed at CSA Mine's heading has proven to be able to successfully cope with difficult conditions

KARVINÁ MINE – The new Swedish drifting machine set to work at CSA Works of Karviná Mine is „forging ahead“ at the #11 block of the 24th seam in a manner resembling the precision of a Swiss watch. This is where since the spring months of this year, Chief Foreman Zdeno Gardon's experienced tunneling gang under Section Supervisor Radim Neuwert has been operating the first technology acquired for the shaft within the framework of the POP 2010 program.... more

LAZY - From the oldest to the newest. This could be the briefest description of the „visit“ by the topmost bosses of OKD and of its parent company NWR to Karviná Mine. On Thursday 24 July, Klaus-Dieter Beck and Mike Salamon took a ride down the Lazy Mine. They were mainly interested in using this opportunity to compare the technologies dating back to the late 20th century with those that came to be launched no sooner than during the early years of the 21st century.... more

LAZY - The fact of equipping the new, promising no. 139704 – 1 working face at Lazy Works with the largest sections ever employed worldwide has also meant that technology had to be acquired that would be able to cope with the heightened demands imposed on transport. Such technology also includes e.g., the locomotive from Ferrit Co. of Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, Model DLZ 110 F, intended to run on the reinforced suspension groove rail ZD 24 C/100.... more

LAZY - Assembling the 105 sections of DBT 2800/6000 with an outreach of six meters has reached the finishing stages at Karviná Mine, Lazy Works. Launching this high complex will represent its first run under the POP 2010 program not just at this shaft but also for OKD Corporation's entire mining district. STAŘÍČ – Palička from the village of Staříč, Lampa, against him, from Chlebovice. The former has driven a 1,100-metre tunnel, the latter 500 metres. On Monday, June 16, Palička drove through the last bit of the mine working no. 63 7254 between the 4th and 5th mine level, connecting both localities. This will enable a new, simpler centralized drawing of broken coal and a more rapid transportation to work.... more

STAŘÍČ – The jubilee tenth standard performance task in the Paskov Mine has been completed by the working party headed by Petr Plaček from Section P3 of Robert Duchoň, the leader. This year, the preparators have celebrated such success for the second time! It was completed on Friday, 30 May, and in order to confirm their reputation of hard workers and great miners, already on Monday, 2 June, they declared another “standard” and are hammering away at it.... more

10.6.2008

There are matters which do not need any longer commentaries, and the poster in the entrance hall of the Paskov Mine definitely ranks among them. Its content summarizes everything – in May, nobody has incurred any injury at work in this mine. Staříč Plant continues its trend to improve safety records and minimize the number of injuries. For that matter, they have recently won the Golden Permon Award, and in the given field, they have been the best among twelve contesting Czech mines. We have no choice but to wish that it lasts as long as possible!... more

KARVINÁ MINE - 2,000,000 tons! That's the greatest amount of coal ever hewn and taken out of the earth at a single mine in our mining district over a period of less than five months. It is the men from Karviná Mine who can boast about this – the ČSA Works and the Lazy Works responsible for the record have contributed 1,150,000 tons and 850,000 tons of coal, respectively. The record day was Saturday, 17 May.... more
