DARKOV MINE - 333 meters! That s an absolute record in monthly drive in the history of Darkov Mine. It was achieved in April in coalface 40 223 by Alpex 7 crew, lead by main foreman Henryk Wójcik, equipped with the first novelty of POP 2010 programme – combined cutter Sandvik nicknamed “tank”.
According to the head of works Rastislav Dušička one of the best teams was deployed to a “priority area“ and already from the onset it looked like a significantly better progress compared to previous technologies. „If they didn´t perform to our aspirations of daily average of fifteen meters, the geological and geomechanical phenomena are to blame,“ he said. The men were facing challenges such as varying dook, heel blows, rock burst from side or face and they could not do the anti-shock prevention also in drive shifts.
„It´s a robust, failure-free, safe machine. Well, individually we did as many as sixteen meters per day,“ specified main foreman Wójcik. They were driving in profiles K 16 and K 19 with spacings of supports at nearly each halfmeter. They made their record also thanks to groovy co-operation with the people of preparation and maintenance.
