The premises of Landek Park and the Mining Museum form a unique complex. It isa multi-purpose site suitable for sports events, company and social events, visits to unique expositions including visits down the mine and hiking trails in the nature reserve. It is located on the northwest outskirts of Ostrava in the (near the palnned highway D47).
Together with the museum, Landek is on the official list of Czech Republic landmarks to be recorded in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites by 2008.
