A question not only for the employees: Will you make a contribution to “Barborka”, (St. Barbara Civil Association)?
Dear Employees of OKD,
If any working party is provided with special bonuses, there is a custom that the employees donate a portion of its bonuses to those who need it most – children from the St. Barbara Civil Association whose father died at work underground. At present, we keep almost 90 of them in our files - many of them are studying, and we provide them with contributions to cover a portion of their school fees or school hostel accommodation costs. For smaller children, we bear costs of their school trips, camp stays and club activities.
These days, almost all of us receive “extraordinary bonuses”, and as such, each employee could donate some Czech crowns to the St. Barbara Civil Association. Therefore, we have applied to the Regional Office for the Public Collection Permit, and you can simply contribute money to the St. Barbara’s account by transfer from your account as soon as the “holiday salary” is credited there.

Company code of ethics
The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
