Even before the NATO Days show, nine-member crew of the legendary strategic bomber B-52 Stratofortress with Joe Jones as a captain went to OKD HQ. American pilots were talking with two hundred pupils and students of International Language Schools and 1st International School of Ostrava.
“We received an offer from OKD to organize the meeting in the main building. Similar meetings with the U.S. Air Force troops at our school have become a tradition. Discussion in English with the crew of B-52 took an hour and was moderated by the children,” said Jan Petrus, director of school.

The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
