Ostrava Center for New Music
Each year, the Ostrava Centre of New Music prepares the festival of contemporary classical music - Ostravské dny (the Ostrava Days). OKD is the general partner of this biennale.
The Ostrava Days attract mainly students of prestigious music colleges and conservatories. Nevertheless, also present are well-known professional conductors, players and composers from the world. During the two preparatory weeks the young composers partake in seminars and rehearse the works which are then performed at the week-long “marathon” of 15 concerts, which is the highlight of the whole project. The concerts take place in August in the Janáček Conservatory and the Cultural House of the Ostrava city.

Company code of ethics
The Board of Directors of OKD has adopted a Company code of ethics that is obligatory for all the employees of the firm. It defines basic values and attitudes to enterprise that OKD conforms to in the course of its business activities.
The code of ethics is not any binding rule of law or internal directive, it represents, however, a moral obligation for each employee of OKD.
