Change of OKD Chief Financial Officer


Ostrava (4 November 2015) - Ing. Jarmila Ivánková has left top management of OKD, a hard coal mining company. „Together with the Managing Director Dale R. Ekmark, we agreed that he will release me from the post of CFO at the end of this month, i.e. to date of 31 October 2015. There were only my personal reasons leading me to take this step which I do not want to comment any further,“ said the outgoing director. Instead of her, OKD Financial Department will be temporarily managed with effect from 1 November by her existing colleague Ing. Pavel Jílek, Head of Planning and Projects.


Jarmila Ivánková is a graduate of VŠB Technical University of Ostrava and she started her professional career in 1988 in Vítkovice ironworks of Klement Gotwald. Since 1991 she has been working for OKD.

Jílek_Pavel_Ing._217150.JPGPavel Jílek graduated from University of Economics in Prague in 2005. After his graduation, he assumed a role of a financial controller in MAN - commercial vehicles. Three years later, he moved from Prague to Ostrava and started working at OKD in department of CFO as a project manager. He was responsible for various projects in the area of finance and controlling. In 2013, he became Head of Planning and Controlling which was subsequently renamed as Head of Planning and Projects. Pavel Jílek is married and has two children.  From 1 November 2015, he was authorized to manage the Financial Department.
