Collective Agreement in OKD Guarantees Four Percent Contractual Wage Increase

Ostrava (12 January 2011) – Representatives of OKD company management signed today the wage addendum to the collective agreement which guarantees a four percent rise in contractual wages of employees.

 

In accordance with the agreement the employees are entitled to a fourteen fold average daily pay as a holiday bonus and to a sixteen fold average daily pay as a Christmas bonus. Contrary to 2010 these bonuses are not determined by the accomplishment of OKD business plan.

 

“We are fully aware that this agreement is the most important agreement of the year, both for sound development of corporate economy and fair evaluation of employees,“ said Radim Tabášek, the Chief Human Resources Officer, after signing the addendum.

 

In 2010 OKD company had 13,693 employees (the so called average number of employees). According to preliminary estimates the average monthly wage of miners and other workers exceeded CZK 32,000.
