Lipiny Golf Resort opens Children’s Golf School for boys and girls from Karviná Region

KARVINÁ (September 6, 2012) – The golf game, which a part of the public still considers an entertainment for the “upper ten thousand”, becomes a popular sport and entertainment sought after virtually by all. Current evidence is the Children’s Golf School, which will open its doors in the Lipiny Golf Resort in Karviná on Monday, September 10. “We will work with children who already have some experience with golf, as well as with complete beginners. Financial conditions are extraordinarily friendly,” said Libor Buchta, Golf Course Manager.

The Children’s Golf School primarily aims at providing children with sports opportunities with an emphasis on getting good fundamentals of the golf game, interesting leisure time and positive thinking, whether children will play just for fun or at later professional tournaments. Six to eight-year-old children can register for courses, and training will be held twice a week. “We will continue to work with the most talented players and will include them in the team that will represent the Lipiny Golf Club at club championships and other sports tournaments,” added Buchta.

The Children’s Golf School admission fee, which includes, apart from the regular training fee, also golf stick and ball lending fees, fees for three special admissions into the Public Golf Course and tournament at the end of the season, amounts to symbolic 990 Czech Crowns. Another 990 or 590 Czech Crowns can be additionally paid by the children, as per their classification into the performance group, for the trainer or instructor. “We will explain everything to interested persons at an information meeting with parents and children, which will be held in the Golf Resort clubroom from 17:00 hrs on Sunday, September 9,” said Buchta.

The Lipiny Golf Resort was built on a site previously affected by mining between the Karviná and Darkov mines, where the consequences of mining have still been visible until recently. The whole area has undergone extensive reclamation and subsequent ground modelling into a golf course that was designed by a Bratislava-based company, ORAG Slovakia, whose references include for example the design of the world-famous course in Čeladná. In addition to the Master Golf Course, the Lipiny Golf Resort also offers a Public Golf Course, which was opened in August, where complete golf beginners can take their first steps.
