LANDEK PARK - Mining Museum

The premises of the Landek Park and the Mining Museum form a unique complex offering multi-purpose use for sports events, corporate and social events, unique exposition tours including a trip down the mine and hiking trails in the nature reserve. It is located on the northwest part of Ostrava in Petřkovice near the D47 highway.

The Landek Park is listed on the official list of Czech national cultural monuments.


The Lower Area of Vitkovice (National Cultural Monuments) took over the operations of the Landek Park on 1 June 2010.

Opening hours

The Museum is open all year round.


1 November to 19 March – Winter Season:


Tuesday to Sunday Tours start at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm


20 March to 31 December – Summer Season:

Daily 9 – 6 pm

Entry every hour on the hour

Last tour starts at 4 pm

How to get here

  • By car: from the centre of Ostrava in the direction to Hlučín; turn right behind the bridge over the D74 highway and the Odra River in direction to Petřkovice and then follow the signs
